In 2019 I authored a chapter in Maurice Liang's Viper: 25 Years of Hissstory which highlighted the factory Viper racing platforms as well as the 1994 Rent A Car Racing Le Mans effort. The focus of that book was on the five generations of Viper street cars and despite being 272 pages, insufficient space was available to discuss the racing efforts in great detail.
Since that time I have continued to interview engineers, crew members, drivers, and designers about all areas of top tier Viper motorsports efforts worldwide. The goal is to release a similarly sized coffee table book focused entirely on the racing history. If you would be interested in purchasing a copy of this future book, please complete the form below. Updates on the project will also appear on the Viper Racing History Facebook and Instagram accounts as well as the News tab here. Thank you for your interest!
*UPDATE 2025*: The research amassed for this effort reached such a scale that it became financially unfeasible to fit everything into a single volume. I have since been writing the manuscript for a book that will focus exclusively on the original GTS-R program with a prelude including Rent A Car Racing's RT/10 efforts. Once complete, a second effort can be made to cover the remaining platforms included in this site's chassis registry and the stories behind them.
